It is that time of year again, the weather is getting colder and students are getting antsy. Halloween costumes and decorations are put away to make room for Thanksgiving, Hanukah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa décor. We are getting into the spirit of the season, here at Sterling Virginia Smiles, and we would like to honor those whose holiday seasons are spent away from the comforts of home.

Tis the season! We are helping to make the holiday season a little brighter for some local families by hosting a food drive for Loudoun Hunger Relief! Please help us in our efforts to collect non-perishable food items by bringing a donation along to your next dental appointment! As a “thank you” for your participation, anyone who brings at least 3 items to donate will be entered to win an Oral-B electric toothbrush! The food drive will take place from December 1 through December 22.

Winter brings snowfall, fun holiday events and family gatherings. Unfortunately, this season also means a drop in temperature, and the beginning of cold and flu season. We all know that sugary foods and beverages aren’t great for our teeth, but did you know that cold syrup could be harmful to your oral health as well?
